You will be collaborating with software developers and customers to modify and/or create hardware platforms that exceed customer expectations. To ensure success as a hardware technician, you should exhibit a meticulous and analytical approach to your work. Ultimately, a skilled technician will work methodically to identify, design, and troubleshoot hardware systems to meet customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and build new hardware products in collaboration with the product and software development team.

  • Help sustain our existing product lines to ensure high quality and steady supply for our customers.

  • Quickly prototype new products for proof-of-concept studies.

  • Provide technical support to marketing, sales, and design partners throughout the product development and implementation process.

  • Test hardware components and systems. 

  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure the hardware functions for its intended purpose.

  • Evaluate new product designs for technical feasibility.

  • Follow standard engineering principles to meet rigorous design standards.

  • Communicate with Project Managers and clients to ensure project delivery meets all customer requirements.

  • Complete functionality and performance tests on the final product.

  • Have a working knowledge of:

  • Servo motor control

  • PID control systems

  • AC/DC systems

  • Stepper motors

  • Standard debugging procedures

  • Soldering

  • Component assembly 

What are we looking for?

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, Hardware Technician to bring their robust skillset to our company. We are looking for someone with mastery of the tools and techniques to build tangible technology for our customers. You also must consider honesty a core value. 

While the following are not required, they are desired:

  • 1+ years of experience with board-level circuit design and prototyping.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of total logged work hours.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, able to work independently and cross-functionally.
